Statements by Michael Cohen, Trump’s Top Lawyer

Here is an excerpt from an article about Megyn Kelly describing Trump’s top lawyer, Michael Cohen:

Cohen is no stranger to elaborate threats against journalists. When the Daily Beast republished an account of a sworn deposition from Trump’s first wife Ivana in which she had used the word rape to describe something Trump did to her, Cohen said “you cannot rape your spouse” and then threatened the reporters.

“I will make sure that you and I meet one day while we’re in the courthouse. And I will take you for every penny you still don’t have. And I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you possibly know,” Cohen told the Daily Beast at the time. “So I’m warning you, tread very fucking lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be fucking disgusting. You understand me?”

“You write a story that has Mr. Trump’s name in it, with the word ‘rape,’ and I’m going to mess your life up … for as long as you’re on this frickin’ planet … you’re going to have judgments against you, so much money, you’ll never know how to get out from underneath it,” he added.

This illustrates how our new president handles people that criticize him or he feels cross him in any way.

Day 1 in Trump’s America

make-america-white-again

Here is a shocking litany of taunts, threats and possible assaults on minorities.

The president-elect must do something about this. He cannot stand by without action and allow these things to continue to happen. People would otherwise take inaction as tacit permission, and all kinds of hell would break loose.

Trump, with his own taunts, attacks and encouragements of violence has created the platform for these transgressions.

He now has the responsibility to stop them. The people must be reassured and calmed. It is now time to start acting like the leader he has proclaimed he will be.

But I Have to Go to Work

Are we just going to build pipelines again through native land?

Climate change is a hoax. Turn on the chimneys? Open the Grand Canyon for mining. Jobs!

Obamacare is a disaster. Will people be dropped off their healthcare when it goes away?

Will we repeal Roe vs. Wade?

Cut taxes for the rich. They need the relief.

Build a few walls. The last wall was built in Germany after the war. Do we need new walls?

We have Muslim and black friends. Remember they need hugs now.

Are we going to bomb the shit out of a few countries now?

Is Turkey staying in Nato?

Are the Baltic nations going to drop back into the hands of Russia?

I just realized that I will probably not live to see a female President of the United States. Not that I was in love with Hillary. But it would have been nice. It would have been.

Shoot – my mind is spinning – but I have to go to work.

How can I go to work?

My Reaction to Trump’s Win

I did not expect this outcome at all. I am in disbelief.  It seems like a nightmare. I am pinching myself.

I had no idea that the American people were so disillusioned with the current administration and the options the Democrats provided. Trump didn’t win this election, Clinton lost it, in my opinion. Badly.

I wonder what would have happened if Sanders had been the nominee? Now we’ll never know.

Right now I do not think this will all end well, but I and all the other 49.9995 percent of the people will have to watch and see now.

Trump will finally get “really rich.”

What will happen to all of us?

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 25

Because I want my president to have respect for the decorum and institution of the presidency and the peaceful transition of power in the United States.

Trump’s refusal to accept the election process in the United States, something that has served us well for 240 years, is abominable – or maybe deplorable.

trump-civil-war

We as a nation keep harping on patriotism. We are upset when a football player does not stand for the national anthem, because he does not respect the moment and the institution of the national anthem and what it represents.

But we allow this dick to laugh off all our traditions, as well as the decorum of the presidency, and it does not seem to faze us?

If there are Trump followers that are not turned off by this, they must stop complaining about the patriotism of anyone else, including Kaepernick. Because it shows disregard for all that patriotism means in our country.

I want my president to have respect for the institution of the office and all it represents, and Trump proves every day over again that he does not. All he has respect for is his own outsized ego.

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 24

Because he does not know what he is talking about.

He keeps saying things like:

“Nobody respects women more than I do.”

“I am the least racist person you’ve ever met.”

“I am the only one who can fix this.”

How does he know?

How does he know, for example, how much I respect women? He doesn’t. He makes empty statements for effect. That’s not facts. That’s drivel.

He doesn’t know what he is talking about.

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 23

I want a president who thinks the country is bigger than he.

Trump thinks he is bigger (and more important) than the country.

During the last debate he put the finishing nail in his own coffin when didn’t clearly state that we would concede the election if he lost. The simple, winning answer would have been:

Yes.

But he didn’t say that. He equivocated.

Trump cannot lose. If something does not go right, he finds excuses. It’s always somebody else’s fault. If he actually loses the election, it must be because the election his rigged. He cannot imagine that there are more people against him than there are for him. So he sets himself up for the perfect excuse: I didn’t lose, the system is rigged and I was cheated.

Just wait.

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 22

Because he is very confused. To illustrate: when he said he wanted to replace Obamacare, he said this:

We have to come up, and we can come up with many different plans. In fact, plans you don’t even know about will be devised because we’re going to come up with plans – healthcare plans – that will be so good.

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 21

Because I want my president to respect our soldiers. He always says “nobody respects our soldiers more than I do” but he does not look like he means it.

This is what Trump said on Howard Stern in 1993, when they were talking about his promiscuous life style and the fear of contracting sexually transmitted diseases:

“You know, if you’re young, and in this era, and if you have any guilt about not having gone to Vietnam, we have our own Vietnam — it’s called the dating game. Dating is like being in Vietnam. You’re the equivalent of a soldier going over to Vietnam.”

— Donald Trump

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 19

Because he does not accept the freedom of the press.

Lately, in his rallies, members of the press are being booed, threatened and sometimes even harassed. Trump is one of those people who can’t lose. Whenever he does not succeed with something, he blames someone else for the failure.

He is blaming the media!

The media are there to report what’s going on.

My suggestion to the media: Stop coming. Stop covering the clown. Once there are no outside eyes and ears, he’ll stop squawking. Then, of course, he’ll complain that there are no media to cover him.

I certainly am looking forward to no more Trump rallies on TV in a few weeks.

I vote we start right now.

Just turn off the lights!

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 18

Because I want my president to pay his fair share of federal income taxes.

It appears that Trump paid zero taxes federal income taxes in the last 20 years or so. He has not produced any evidence to the contrary.

I have paid taxes for the last 40 years of being a productive citizen and job creator. That means I alone contributed more to the nation’s defense, entitlement and welfare system and infrastructure than Trump has. And so has every blue and white collar worker that I know.

A want a president who is an example to the people. I want a president who pays his fair share of taxes.

Why I Can’t Vote for Trump – Take 17

Because I don’t believe that my president should talk about pussy.

He has dismissed his talk as locker room banter. No, Trump, I have been in many locker rooms, and real men, men with honor and dignity and respect do not talk like this. And they do not think like this about women.

Then he has deflected and blamed Bill Clinton for being a sexual predator. Even if Clinton were a sexual predator, would that give him the right to be one too? Of course not. Bill Clinton isn’t running for president. What a twisted defense this is!

Regardless of what Clinton ever did, I don’t want my president to use vile language in public, brag about sexual predation and demean women. Our president needs to be a role model for our children.

With Trump, we need to worry about what our children will hear.

Trump demeans the office of the president.

Forever.
