It looks like there is a good chance that we’ll have a choice between a Bush and a Clinton in the 2016 election for president.
I was 24 when the first Bush became vice president and 32 when he became president. Until the last few years, I have spent my adult life with a Bush or a Clinton in the White House. At this rate, and the way it looks, I will spend my retirement years with a Bush or a Clinton in the White House.
Out of 330 million people, this is the best we can come up with?
We have a political elite in this country that buys elections. It’s an oligarchy.
And we, the voters, don’t seem to mind.
Yes… it’s quite ridiculous and I can barely believe it. And I don’t notice much new in the rhetoric either… Not that I expected it.
I’m lucky to be a Canadian. lol
I feel lucky to be an American. I would just like things to go a bit more “my way.” Just like all of us! I am sure you Canadians have your own political woes.
I could write an entire essay on this subject. Watch the Chicago mayoral election closely – a non-politician, regular guy Chuy Garcia v. Mr 1% Rahm Emmanuel for the Deocratic ticket. Ppl ARE starting to notice & speak up. I’ll be shocked if H. Clinton is ever elected. Too much baggage.
On another note: book suggestion: Detroit An American Autopsy.
Highly recommended.
Hmm, going to have to check out “Detroit”, Thanks, Sue.
