Trump’s supporters keep stating that he does what he says he was going to do. They think of that as a good thing, and for many of us, that would hold true. Then they forgive him for his flaws, foibles and – now possibly crimes. “Well, all I care about is what he does, not who he is, or whether I agree with him, or like his style or choices.”
I differ. Just because somebody promises the following things does not make me agree with him:
- Cutting taxes for the rich and for corporations at the expense of the middle class.
- Driving the deficit up by trillions and accumulating more debt than any administration before.
- Separating innocent children from their parents.
- Opening up restrictions against corporate pollution.
- Allowing asbestos back into the country and into circulation.
- Increasing the military budget by over $70 billion, or the entire military budget of Russia.
I could go on with this list all day.
Doing what you say you’re going to do is only good when those actions are positive, legal and responsible.
