I am old enough now (55) that I qualify for senior discounts in some establishments, but I am young enough that I refuse to ask for it. Frankly, I can’t deal with that situation.
A few days ago we went to the Souplantation. When I looked at the receipt, I noticed something:
A senior discount – and I didn’t ask for it – and the Souplantation policy is you have to be 60 to get it!
Did we look that old? Tired? Needy?
Not good, not good, not good.
You have given a lot to the world over the years. It’s time to take a little. Besides, most places overcharge anyway, so they can afford it. Congratulations!
