Here is another timeless business book. I mentioned in another post that Ayn Rand’s mammoth Atlas Shrugged, written in the 1950ies, can be read today for business advice. The Go-Getter was written in 1921 and first published by Hearst.
You can read this book in an hour, and you will be inspired to take charge of your life and your career.
It plays in a time when business travel is done by railroad, when orders are not emailed, faxed or mailed, they are “wired” in to the office. Even in that drastically different business environment, the rules are the same. Dedication, creativity, tenacity, loyalty and hard work make things happen. Lack of those qualities result in failure.
