I am just amazed by the fact that regardless of the Boob-in-Chief running the country, the US government seems to be addressing the crises fairly competently. I say crises because beyond the pandemic we are all on the verge of facing a recession of unknowable dimensions. It seems though that agencies like the CDC and NIH, the Treasury Department, the IRS, the various governors of each state, local public health agencies, hell, even Congress are all addressing these looming events with the appropriate balance of caution and preparation required.
It is a testament once again to the foresight of the people that designed the US Constitution in the first place. Even this democracy, burdened with a simpleton at the helm, has the capacity to surmount what in many other countries (Venezuela spring to mind) would be a dagger to the heart.
