Sometimes numbers are misleading. Sometimes the enemy is the idea of who is the enemy. Trump, unwhittingly or not, has exposed the weakness of the Democratic Party. The good liberals, while screaming foul repeatedly after November 2016, have allowed the screaming memes of the socialist left under the Democratic tent. Wake up and smell the tent burning. Watch the Dem elders flee towards the center. Too late? We’ll see.
