Witch Hunt: : the searching out and deliberate harassment of those (such as political opponents) with unpopular views
Trump keeps calling the investigation a witch hunt. Yet, many of his senior aides during and after his campaign are now either indicted, or serving prison time, or are scheduled to serve prison time, or have already served prison time.
Most of the felony charges came after confessions, not convictions in trials. Most of the charges are not about the crimes themselves, but about lying about them.
Why are all these people around Trump lying about their contacts with Russia? If Russia is so benign, why are they lying and willing to go to prison – for Trump?
Witch hunt?
Not!
Why are they lying and willing to go to prison? Easy. Money or fear, for themselves or their loved ones. It’s their mob-boss-run world and they know the rule: Don’t rat.
