Trump’s Approval Ratings – Who Are the Approvers?

What I seriously do not understand is who the 81% of Republicans are that approve of Trump.

The “grab them by the pussy” attitude does not bother them? The constant lying? The fact that he does not take responsibility for his actions, or gaffes? The fact that he can’t put a coherent sentence together? The reckless putting at risk our soldiers and, really, all of us? The fact that he does not do his constitutional duty and enforce the sanctions against Russia? He is supposed to protect the country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. There is a clear and present foreign enemy. That does not bother the 81%?

I really have a hard time wrapping my head around that.

  1. Who are they? the future course of America — if the Dems don’t get their act together with a message as clear and gut-gripping as the GOPs’. Less wonky stuff, candidates, and more grit.

These 81% people are scared and nothing is going to shift them that appeals to their rational, logical side — THEY DON”T HAVE ONE. Oh, and gut Fox news!!

  2. I would chalk the Republican approval level to a form of “Love”. Isn’t it true that when you love someone, that you do so unconditionally and you overlook their faults and short comings, their quirks and bad habits? I suppose Trump is to Republicans is like Kennedy was to Democrats. Kennedy was no angel and did a fair fair of screw ups. Yet many people dwell on the positive and the downside is inconsequential.

  3. IMO – their belief in Trump is conflated with their irrational religious belief in a God who is inerrant — incapable of being wrong — thus their “faith” will not be shifted for these two vengeful authority figures who will destroy the liberals and their ungodly ways in the name of Christian inanity.

  4. Both the Dems and Repubs feel they, and they alone, are going to “save” America. The country is on a knife-edge as to which won will “win” for either scenario will bring on an even more divided and lethal place. Hard to image a short term way out of this tailspin.
