Trump used the same spelling as the NYT.
My (unposted as yet) comment about council and counsel — Trump is using the NYT use of “adviser” as in counsel which is fine…for once.
I started checking dictionaries, and Webster reported a spike of checking for that word. I got a kick out of it. It’s kind of like principal and principle, bear and bare, their, there and they’re. I learned something. Thanks.
The spelling of Counsel in this context of the enquiry is absolutely correct.
