David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn) donated his sperm more than 600 times (!!!) anonymously to an agency some twenty years ago.
Now he is a meat delivery man in his dad’s business where he works with his brothers. He is definitely the underachiever of his family. He can’t stay focused on the job, he can’t keep his girlfriend but still gets her pregnant, and he owes the mob gambling money he can’t pay.
His life gets interesting when he finds out he has fathered 533 children. Of those, 142 have gotten together and filed a lawsuit against the agency to find out the true identity of their biological father, code-named Starbuck. They have supplied dossiers of themselves hoping they could entice him to reveal himself.
Against the better judgment and advice of his lawyer, he starts secretly stalking some of his children and he can’t help but get involved in their lives, in his own hapless way.
Delivery Man is the journey of one man to come to terms with himself and find his own happiness. It is a simple, enjoyable movie with no lasting value but good solid entertainment for a couple of hours.
