Movie Review: All Is Lost

All Is Lost

Robert Redford plays a sailor who is alone in his boat on the high seas in the Indian Ocean. One day he wakes up in his cabin with water sloshing around the floor.  When he checks the boat, the finds water flooding in through a gaping hole in the hull of his boat, right at water level.

Redford speaks hardly any lines in this movie. He says about 10 words, most of them when he tries to make an SOS call out for help. He is also the only actor in the movie.

Yet, he carries the movie and keeps me riveted up to the last frame. That’s an actor!
