No Silence Allowed in the Wisconsin Legislature

Duct Tape

People in the galleries of the Wisconsin legislature were thrown out when they applauded speakers who opposed the oppressive anti-abortion bills currently being ramrodded through the house. Since speaking or clapping is not allowed, people made their statement by putting duct tape over their mouths.

Then the Republican Speaker ordered them to remove the tape or be thrown out. Symbolic silence apparently was too loud a voice.

After removing their tape, the people resorted to holding their hands over their mouths, further incensing the Speaker.

Clapping will not be tolerated.

Noise will not be tolerated.

And Silence will also not be tolerated.

I love it when I see officious politicians who think they can tell us what to do. Pretty soon independent thinking will also not be tolerated.

See all about it in this article.

Buffoons, all!
