This picture looks really wrong, yet it happened in public in full view. What do you guess went on here?

We were whale watching off San Diego. The woman in the red jacket got sick within the first ten minutes of the ride. She first jumped to starboard where we were standing and threw up over the railing. After a few minutes she seemed to recover somewhat and sat down on the benches. But then, for a change, she lunged on port side and … well, use your imagination.

This time she did not recover, and crouched on the floor near the bow of the boat and never moved for the next two and a half hours. There she was, blocking people’s access to the view.

When a majestic fin whale surfaced port side, her friend simple stepped over her to see the spectacle. Didn’t want to waste the railing space.

The poor woman in the red jacket never moved. We all got used to her lying there and went on with our business.
