I received a fax at my office from Congressman Pete Sessions.

When I prepared my response, ready to fax it, I discovered that his fax didn’t work. So I called the number.
Some operator from the National Republican Congressional Committee answered and wanted to play a statement from the congressman and “put me on the list.” When I told her NOT to put me on the list, I broke her script.
When I asked her for the congressman’s email address, she was flustered and said she could only get me to the nrcc.org website, that’s all. Obviously, the congressman is good at sending out mass faxes, but not good at providing ways for his constituents to get back to him. I eventually found his website and filled out the “contact” form with the message below.
OPEN LETTER TO CONGRESSMAN PETE SESSIONS:
To Congressman Pete Sessions
Fax: 1-866-280-5716
Subject: Your fax dated 12-18-2012
Open Letter to President Obama
Dear Congressman:
Please do NOT add my name to your open letter.
I believe you took the president’s statement in your fax out of context and twisted the message. I heard that speech, and that was not the message.
Your statement about taxes makes no sense to me. Below is a link to a blog entry I wrote that explains my statement.

You really should be adding an email address to allow us to respond without having to cut trees and send paper faxes.
Sincerely,
Norbert Haupt.
