One friend of mine on Facebook is Brazilian. Brazil is a large country with a large population. Here is what he said:

Here in Brazil the elections are done in just one day and the votes are done electronically. The voting time ends at 6:00 PM and around 12:00 AM the names of the new president, governors, and state and national representatives are known.

She told him that when France holds national elections, there are two places in Florida where the French nationals can go to vote in their country’s election.
