Mitt Romney gave a good speech tonight at the Republican National Convention.
And then, toward the end, he made some blunders. Mocking Obama about worrying about the oceans rising was foolish. One day, in the history books, Romney will be mocked for that comment.
And ridiculing Obama for “talking” with Iran was silly. OF COURSE we want our leaders to talk to other nations about solutions before we shoot missiles at them! Who could possibly want otherwise?
Directly and personally threatening Russia and Putin by name was unbecoming a man who wants to be the leader of this nation. Russia is an ally. Putin is a man our next president will have to deal with.
Romney today talked not like a statesman, but like a redneck with a large expense account.
It’s amazing how we hear nothing from the Republicans about George Bush (who?) and the immeasurable damage he did in 8 years, domestically and what an understatement, internationally. How could ANY president fix in 4 years what Bush did in 8. How dare the R’s criticize Obama for not being willing to cross the isle and work together. How dare they say they have the best interests of American’s at heart when they shoot down one reform after another just to make Obama look bad. If only their words came with positive suggestions and concrete solutions instead of childish mockery. What happened to “We the People.”
