Coke Executive on Sugar
June 8, 2012 by Norbert Haupt
Coke executive Katie Bayne, the company’s president of sparkling beverages in North America, was interviewed by Bruce Horovitz of USA Today. Among other questions this one:
Horovitz: Is anyone at Coca-Cola trying to figure out a way to get sugar out of all drinks?
Bayne: There is a large portion of the population that relies on the carbohydrates and energy in our regular beverages. When my son gets home from school, he needs a pickup with calories and great taste.
