When I post a WordPress entry, I get the sidebar shown below, which tells me how many posts there are. My last post was number 869, it lets me know, as if that was really important.
Then it tells me what my goal should be: 870. I have one more to go (red arrow). Obviously, this very post here will be number 870.
Who cares?
And why does WordPress treat me like blogging is a race? Am I keeping up with the Joneses next door who are already at 1000? And who counts posts? What in the world does the number of posts have to do with blogging success? What is blogging success?
I write when I have something that I believe at least one other person might be interested in. And I don’t write when I have nothing.
So there you have it, WordPress. Post number 870 coming your way!
Do I get a medal now?
yeah, it sound ridiculous actually. Unless wordpress willing to give us some freebies , then it will make sense
Odd, I agree. But then again, I have never spent a dime on WordPress, so the whole thing is a freebie. So they get to say what they want to, and I am grateful. Thanks, WordPress.
