Dirty Deeds and Bible Verses

When politicians quote verses in scripture to justify their dirty deeds, the society is usually in trouble.

What distinguishes the blabbering of biblical verses of Jeff Sessions from those of Taliban lunatics or ISIS murderers who quote the Quran to justify their crimes and atrocities?

Nothing that I see.

Our country is not supposed to be based on religious values. I don’t want our so-called leaders to rationalize their crimes against humanity based on religious value systems that many of us do not support or subscribe to.

Islamist (Taliban), Christianist, Dominionist (Pence) — all extremists are the same. They want control & dominion — defined in a book I’m reading as this:
control is holding a chicken by the neck, dominion is jamming your fingers into its anus.

Tiny little cowardy men, all of them, who need an excuse for the crimes/evil they commit and religion always, always gives them one. They are able to live with the cognitive dissidence of their words and actions by citing the bible and then playing the victim. Bully or Victim: their two default settings — Palin & Trump showed them how.

As horrible as the separation of these children from their parents is — I thought it just might snap the Trump cultists to their senses… but as Will Smiths said, “Racism isn’t getting worse, it’s getting filmed.”

And Trumps #s keep rising among Republicans!

30 million America “religious” psyches have been hacked and if forecasts of the 2018 election being rigged worse than 2016, nothing will stop this descent into madness/fascism we are watching in real time. The holocaust didn’t have the internet: we do, and still it is happening.

One can choose to be optimistic … how hard can it be…?

Dark Barbara – you always call it out. Unfortunately, Trump is just the clown out front. It’s his supporters who should have us worried. I spend most of my team with people of reason, so I don’t see it much in my world. Argh.
