Newspaper Time Capsules Hidden in Houses

In 1981 and 1982, I built about a dozen single-family houses in Fountain Hills, Arizona. I built them from scratch, laying the foundation, framing, roofing, plumbing, drywall, painting, door and trim, and everything else. It would take about 4 to 5 months per house.

In every house, when I finished the drywall, I would leave sealed inside one of the interior walls a full Sunday edition of the Arizona Republic, along with all advertisements, coupons and inserts.

I am sure as of now, more than 30 years later, none of those have yet been found.

Time capsules they are, and one day somebody will remodel those homes, and find the papers.
