Does NSA Keep Files on Americans?

General Keith Alexander, the head of the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command appearing at the 2012 DefCon hacker conference in Las Vegas (in jeans) said that the NSA does not create files on Americans. Yeah.

Even Google creates files on world citizens (and Americans) by effectively downloading the Internet onto their own servers on an ongoing basis and indexing it.

And Facebook creates files on world citizens (and Americans) by simply hosting and safe-keeping everything we upload every day.

And the NSA does not do it?

Will the NSA have to go to Google to get its data?
