Book Review: 1493: Uncovering the New World Columbus Created – by Charles C. Mann

This book is about how Columbus, and all the ships that followed him, changed the world by exchanging goods, plants and animals between the new world and the old. If it weren’t for the Americas, we would not have potatoes or tomatoes and a million other things.

I know that. I read for a while and nodded my head. Other than running off facts, I didn’t learn anything huge and the whole thing just wasn’t interesting enough to keep reading.

All I could say was: Duh!
