Tonight, while out to dinner with friends, we brought up slam poetry, and they had never heard the term before. Immediately Corey Taft came to mind. I got to know him over sixteen years ago, and I still remember him as one of the most remarkable slam poets I have heard. We had some email exchanges about poetry at the time. If you google him now, there were some postings by him during the pandemic.
