No matter what our age now, the years between age 14 and age 24 stick with us. It’s the coming of age, the wonder when we discovered “something going on,” when we first found out what makes our blood boil and our longings and yearnings drive us, our lives all in front of us.

Do you want to go back? You now can, unlike anyone could before us, since the technology that makes it possible has just been put together in the last few years.

Go to Wikipedia and pull up the top 100 hits of any year of your youth.

You get something like this:

Now you simply browse through the hit songs and it will surprise you how many hits you have forgotten about — you never bought the album,  the radio does not play it anymore, of course, and you never thought about it since 1977.

Then go to YouTube, type the title of the song, or the artist, into the Search box. You’ll find the song,  and while you listen to it, browse the YouTube list of “Related Videos.” I promise, you’ll get lost traveling through the years.

You’ll remember stuff about your life you had forgotten, faces appear in front of you that you haven’t thought of, and you’ll Google their names while you listen to old songs.

I have found myself traveling through time for hours.
